ATL Credit Union was founded in 1956 as financial cooperative for the employees of ATL Truck Lines. The credit union merged with GRATA Credit Union and continues to serve anyone who lives or works in Kent county.

How long have you been in business?
We have been in business since 1956.
What is your primary product or service?
We provide a full range of financial services, from savings and checking accounts, to loans, mortgages and Visa credit cards. We also offer notary servcies, prepaid gift and debit cards.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Credit unions are financial cooperatives, formed by specific groups of peopel with a common interest. They are run by a board of directors elected from within the membership.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are considered a small credit union, however, it is our size that gives us the strength and flexibility to know and serve our members in a way larger financial institutions have lost touch with.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location, but our members have access to their accounts at more than 100 locations through our shared branch networks. We also have more than 30,000 surcharge free ATMs located through the United States.
Provide detailed directions to your location
We are located one block west of Clyde Park Avenue Southwest on 36th Street. We are situated on the north side of the street, between the Dollar General and the Costume Shop.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, money orders and we issue Visa credit cards and MasterCard debit cards.
Which areas do you service?
We are able to serve anyone who lives, works or worships in Kent County. We may also serve anyone who is related to an existing member.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Our members own the credit union and elect the board of directors. The Board of Directors oversee the staff.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. On Tuesday, we open at 9:30 a.m. and on Friday, our drive up window is open until 5:30 p.m.
