Flo?s Pizzeria Ristorante, formerly known as Florentine?s Pizzeria, was founded by Salvatore and Franca Uccello in 2000. At ages 40 and 35, respectively, Salvatore and Franca emigrated from Italy to the United States in 1998 in hopes of creating a better future for their family. Salvatore, a 20-year auto body shop owner decided that it was time to change his career path, so after two years of living in the United States and working for his brother at Uccello?s he opened his first food establishment at 4494 Plainfield Ave., known as Flo?s Pizzeria Ristorante.
