How long have you been in business?
Eastern Floral has been Grand Rapids' and West Michigan's premiere floral and gift shop since 1950.
What is your primary product or service?
Eastern Floral provides the fresh flowers, lushest plants and most creative designs in the industry. In addition, our fabulous showroom is stocked with gifts and home decor for the discerning buyer.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The flower business has been in the Goei family DNA since Bing Goei arrived in the United States in 1960. After working in a floral wholesale house through high school and college, Bing Goei started his own wholesale company in 1972 and ran it successfully for 15 years. After about a decade break, he bought a retail flower shop in 1996, then expanded with the purchase of Eastern Floral in 2001.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
At Eastern Floral, service is our real product. We are here to help you find the best solution for your floral and gift giving needs. We go above and beyond to make your shopping experience one of a kind. And guarantee it, 100%.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Eastern Floral has 3 locations in West Michigan. Our flagship store and headquarters is in Grand Rapids. We have two additional full-service stores, one in Holland, and one in Grand Haven.

Our Grand Rapids headquarters location is on the southeast corner of 28th St and East Beltline (right where East Beltline becomes Broadmoor). Our Holland location is on E Lakewood Boulevard, between 112th Ave and 120th Ave. Our Grand Haven location is in the shopping center on the northeast corner of N Beacon and Jackson St.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, check and credit card in store. Online, we accept credit card and soon will add PayPal.
Which areas do you service?
Eastern Floral serves the Grand Rapids, Holland and Grand Haven metropolitan areas. We serve all of Kent County to the West, South and East, and as far north as Cedar Springs. We serve all of Ottawa County, the northern part of Allegan County, and the southern part of Muskegon County, including most of the City of Muskegon.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Eastern Floral is owned and operated by the Goei Family of Grand Rapids.
What are your hours of operation?
Eastern Floral's hours of operation are 8am-6pm Monday through Friday, and 8am-4pm Saturdays, in Grand Rapids and Holland. In Grand Haven, the hours are 9am-5:30pm Monday through Friday, and 9am-4pm Saturdays (2pm in the summer). We are closed on Sundays.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
